  • Neither! These saddles are made especially for trail riding. They provide ease for both rider and horse over long rides and rough terrain but are just as comfortable for a quick jaunt around the arena.

  • Our Union Saddle is priced at $2,500 plus tax. This price includes everything for you to use your new saddle right out of the box: the saddle, stirrups, cinch, and breast collar – all of which are fitted based on your provided measurements. Please note, we are a small company, so this cost does not reflect the cost of shipping if needed. The cost of shipping will vary depending on where you are located.

  • Yes, to all of the above breeds! The flexible sizing and straps fit draft horses all the way down to small ponies. There is also a ring on the back of the saddle if you wish to use a crupper.

  • You can absolutely mount from the ground. The saddle will remain firmly in place as you mount and ride over the steepest ascents and descents. After extensive riding and testing, we have never had the saddle slip out of place.

  • Not necessarily. The saddle itself distributes the weight across the horse’s back, so an extra pad is not needed. If you want to keep the saddle from getting sweaty or dirty, you can put a protective layer between the saddle and horse.

  • The saddles can be ordered in black or brown with black trim. In the future, we plan to offer customizable colors for an additional cost. If interested, please get in touch with us for more details.

  • We offer small, medium, and large saddles. These three sizes comfortably fit a wide range of riders. A sizing table is coming soon, but in the meantime, we will work with you to make sure you order the correct size. For an additional charge we offer customized fitting sessions to precisely fit you and your horse. 

  • Dirt and debris can be vacuumed or brushed off the saddle. The seat, cantle, and pommel are made from a tough suede material. Follow directions for suede care if you wish to treat these surfaces.

  • Each and every saddle is proudly made by hand by our talented crew here in San Luis Obispo, California!

  • The first step towards your new saddle is to place a $500 deposit. At the moment, we are ramping up production and have a waiting list for saddles. Please contact us to get an estimated time for your order.
